Kinesis Dance Project's "Right Before You Fell" is a multifaceted "dance
experience" that is entertaining from its first moment to its last.
Choreographer Melissa Riker has something to say, and, taking you into her
world through movement, music, humor, theatrics and sounds, clearly
expresses it in this beautiful, fun, and unusual piece. When it was over,
the entire audience and I simply wanted more!
I saw it at the Merce Cunningham dance space in March, and if it comes
around again do not miss this show!

Recording Artist, the scoldees
Kinesis Project creates dance that will surprise you, touch you & make you laugh. As a choreographer, Melissa Riker has a genius for designing movement that explores how the body is halted, stunted, thwarted, defeated and how it revives, is resilient, strong and beautiful to behold. As a dancer, she has a real sense of actor in her which suits her pieces with words and poetry perfectly & adds greatly to her strength and physical prowess. Melissa Riker & her Kinesis dancers are story tellers & they have bright, witty & moving stories to tell.
